Excluded by Design: Women, Politics, and Ethical Failure
Project Abhaya, an organisation advocating for gender equality and aiming to empower youth and women in leadership, invites everyone to an open public forum titled ‘Excluded by Design: Women, Politics, and Ethical Failure’ to reflect on why women continue to be kept at the margins of political power and what democratic responsibility requires at this moment.
Bringing together women leaders, young people, scholars, and civic actors, the event creates a space for reflection and dialogue on ethics, institutions, and leadership.

Film screening
As part of One Billion Rising (OBR) Nepal 2026, the Blue Butterfly Foundation is organising a film screening to contribute to the global movement to end violence against women and girls. Two films, ‘Unspoken Bond’ from Nepal and ‘Saving Face’ from Pakistan, will be screened on January 27.
One Billion Rising is a global campaign, launched in February 2012 by the activist movement V-Day, to call for an end to violence against women and girls. The campaign has been observed annually in many countries, including Nepal, through events such as rallies, performances, and screenings that highlight gender-based violence and advocate for justice and equality.
